CDC statement on autism and vaccines

We at PPG disagree with the changes to the CDC website that (once again) raises concerns regarding vaccination as the cause of autism. The American Academy of Pediatrics has released a statement denouncing the changes, as has the American Medical Association. We think what is even more telling is that autism associations such as the Autism Science Foundation and Autism Speaks have also released statements against the changes, they are worth a read as they highlight the cherry-picking that the CDC website uses to elevate bad science over good. One need look no further than the measles outbreak that started this spring (that seems to have fallen out of the news cycle but is still going strong) to see what the consequences are of declining vaccination rates.
