Pooja Makija, MD

When I moved from India to Buffalo, NY with my family in 2003, I never thought that I would be eventually settling down in Upstate NY with my family. After I completed medical school and pediatric residency at Golisano Children's Hospital of Buffalo, I moved to St. Louis to pursue my interest in pediatric cardiology before returning to Rochester and calling it my home.

I am a certified lactation specialist with a special interest in caring for newborns as well as adolescents with mental health concerns. I am passionate about providing compassionate, comprehensive care to children and supporting families through every stage of development.

I currently live in Penfield with my husband, our two kids and our dog, Rex. Outside of work, I enjoy reading, traveling, baking and spending quality time with my family. I love being part of the Panorama team and looking forward to caring for your family.
